Racism towards our culture are being normalized with people stereotyping us as curry munchers, smelly people and etc. They would make fun of us for simply expressing our culture and thinking it's okay to imitate the mudra which the dancers spend years learning and learning it by day by day. When reality our culture is the most beautiful culture in the world with henna, clothes, movies, food, architecture & jewelry. We would get critizied for wearing our cultural clothes, henna, sari, shalwar kameez & etc when a gori would wear it and get "praised" when that isn't apart of their fucking culture, however Desi's can also appropriate other culture as well so please respect other poc's and their culture as CA is normalized

Paki is a slur which was racially against pakistani's it is a "slang" to insult for an immigrant from Pakistan or a neighboring south Asian country
which is commonly used in UK, Ireland, Canada and etc.
Dhaal khor: What is Dhaal khor and what does it mean?
Dhaal khor was used to describe Desi's (especially Punjabi's) to make fun of Desi's for eating dhaal, this word is translated to dhaal eater
Ciapaty/Ciapak: What is Ciapaty/Ciapak and what does it mean?
Ciapaty or Ciapak is a slur which is racist towards Arabs & South asians (mostly Pakistani's) and it is a polish word
Brownie: What is Brownie and what does it mean?
This slur isn’t only targeted towards South Asians but I’ve added it in as one of the slurs. This can be reclaimed by South Asians, black people, Hispanic and etc. This slur is towards our skin colour or our Melanin. This slur can be used in different context such as, the dessert brownie as an example. You’re describing the food so it’s okay. If you are calling someone who has melanin, a brownie then it is considered a slur.
If ur not Desi nor south asian then you have no rights to speak over an idol mocking us. For example your fave could sing the curry song and mock our features, you don't have the Rights to speak over us. Idc if your friends dog, cat, grandma, grandad, dad, mum, brother, sister, fish, tv is Desi, you still got no rights to speak over us. keep in mind that this was already taken from us while we were colonized from the british. they stole everything from us food, clothes, and etc
It's okay to wear henna on your south asians (im aware this is also in other cultures as well... if henna isnt apart of your culture you CANNOT wear traditional henna) friend's wedding it's okay to wear shalwar kameez/sari/lehnga if your going to a south asian (ONLY south asian) friend's wedding no other that
Don't call us Desi even though it isn't a slur, it means our people just call us south asians (Pakistanis, Bengalis & Indians can say Desi since they were colonized as a one country by the British)
To those Kpop stans: your faves knows what they fuck they are doing by mocking us and thinking it's funny. And don't harrass us and sending death threats just because we called out your faves that doesn't care about our feelings. If one person says that they're okay with cultural appropriation that doesn't mean the whole community will say "oh yeah they didn't mock us" and then non south asians making excuses "oh yeah (group) was just doing yoga" like stfu. We've the rights to make jokes such as "Oh bhaji Yumna, Wafia & Radia is absolutely looking stunning in that plain shalwar kameez" as a coping mechanism + you don't have to rights to laugh at it or make the jokes if your not south asian
No south asians aren't Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Thai or etc, we have a very very very different culture and they have different culture as well
